getting started


  • All you need is an internet enabled phone; check that your phone is mobile internet enabled that is it can use any of these applications: 3G+ /EDGE or GPRS and the connection mode (HTTP or WAP). Please refer to your phone user manual for this information.

  • If your phone has not received Orange Mobile Internet settings automatically, please click here to get the settings.

  • If your phone is not able to receive these settings, please visit your nearest Orange shop or call customer care on 100 or 079 0000 100 from another operator for further assistance.

  • When you receive the settings, please remember to accept and save them.

  • You need to have airtime to access the internet. Please dial *131# to check your account balance.

  • You can now open your phone browser and type in a website address e.g. http://www.orange.ug

  • You may use your mobile phone as a modem to connect to the internet with your PC (via Bluetooth or data cable). To browse the Internet from your PC, refer to your handset user guide for this information.
