
Mengo to name negotiating team this week ( March 11th, 2009 )
The Mengo government has assembled a 10-member team to kick start the long-awaited negotiations with the government over the proposed Land (Amendments) Bill 2007.
Buganda Information Minister, Charles Peter Mayiga, said over the weekend the members on the team will be announced anytime this week but declined to reveal their names.

European Union gives Government Shs 100 billion ( March 11th, 2009 )

The Muslim Parliamentary caucus has thrown its weight behind hundreds of Sheikhs and Imams who are calling for the resignation of Mufti Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje.

Polyethene ban to be extended ( March 9th, 2009 )
The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) intends to extend a ban on polyethylene materials from 30 microns to 100 microns to increase the effectiveness of the ban in environmental management.
